On 9 November 2025, the International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH) submitted a report for the fourth Universal Periodic Review (UPR) of Singapore, which will be held on 12 May 2026 in Geneva, Switzerland.
The report documents developments that illustrate the Singaporean government’s failure to implement recommendations it accepted during the country’s third UPR in two thematic areas: 1) the use of the death penalty; and 2) the right to freedom of peaceful assembly.
