Today is World Food Day, and we at Human Technopole are proud to share how we have recently joined the Colletta MIND food drive, organised in collaboration with other organisations at MIND – Milano Innovation District and with Banco Alimentare. For over 35 years, Banco Alimentare has been a key player in the fight against food waste and food insecurity, helping families and individuals in need across Italy.
This year HT colleagues collected a total of 236 kg of food, equivalent to 29 boxes. Contributions included 57 kg of baby food (8 boxes), 48 kg of preserves (6 boxes), 68 kg of canned vegetables and legumes (7 boxes), 46 kg of pasta (6 boxes), and 17 kg of oil (2 boxes). These goods will be distributed by Banco Alimentare to families and individuals who are facing food insecurity.
We want to thank all HT colleagues who donated and those who volunteered at the collection point. Every contribution matters, and their participation shows how small individual contributions can come together to create a meaningful collective impact. At Human Technopole, we are proud to play our part in building a stronger and more supportive community, today and every day.
World Food Day reminds us that scientific research must go hand in hand with concrete action and that caring for people, communities, and the environment are not separate goals but mutually reinforcing ones.
