This week, we were lucky enough to have the opportunity to attend Tricentis Transform London, a client event exploring AI-driven software development and testing innovation. The event was buzzing with energy, ideas, and a clear sense that we’re standing at a turning point in how technology shapes enterprise. At the end of day two, Zack Kass, futurist and former Head of Go-To-Market at OpenAI, took the stage for the closing keynote.

Zack’s message transcended sector specifics to deliver what I found to be an inspiring and uplifting message. In a world increasingly dominated by artificial intelligence, where machines are beginning to match human intelligence, our competitive edge isn’t in trying to outthink the machines; it’s in being more human.

He spoke about the qualities that no algorithm can truly replicate: things like kindness, humour, empathy, courage, curiosity and adaptability. These are the traits that drive trust, creativity, and connection; the things that ultimately make teams and businesses thrive.

He also spoke about the importance of building teams that feel small. Zack described how the most effective organisations foster personal, human-scale relationships within their teams and with their clients, no matter how large they grow. When people feel seen and valued, great things happen.

That philosophy struck a real chord. Liberty is small by design for exactly that reason – we want to ensure that the service we give clients is bespoke, personal, and built on solid relationships. It’s not about size, it’s about focus. We choose to stay nimble, personal, and close to our clients so we can build the kind of partnerships that big, impersonal structures often can’t.

In an age where technology can do so much for us, the real differentiator will be how we use it to amplify, not replace, our humanity. Zack’s talk was a great reminder that the future of business isn’t just about smarter machines, it’s about the power of human qualities.
