Group 1001 Insurance Recognized with 2025 Gartner Eye on Innovation Award for Insurance

Group 1001 Insurance today announced it has been named the Americas regional winner for the 2025 Gartner Eye on Innovation Award for Insurance for its innovative Transfer Automation Packet solution. This recognition underscores Group 1001’s commitment to developing modern technology that drives innovation and delivers transformative solutions in the financial services industry.

The Gartner Eye on Innovation Award for Insurance recognizes innovative use of digital technology-enabled capabilities, products, or services to highlight “best-in-class” financial industry initiatives. A global panel of senior insurance executives selected the winners.

Group 1001’s winning project, Transfer Automation Packet, focused on developing a comprehensive automation platform using artificial intelligence and machine learning to overhaul and expedite the transfer process for annuities and life insurance products. It is powered by Onyx, Group 1001’s cloud-native annuity administration system that supports new business for two Group 1001 companies, Delaware Life Insurance Company and Gainbridge Life Insurance Company.

After experiencing a rapid 400% growth in service volume, Group 1001’s Onyx team saw the need to increase demand efficiently. The platform uses intelligent document classification, automated data extraction, dynamic workflow management, and real-time integration with existing systems, allowing the entire process to be automated while ensuring data integrity and regulatory compliance.

This solution had a significant business impact: 90% improvement in processing speed, 60% reduction in operations costs, and automating 85% of transfers. With the same number of team members, the team could process 1,000+ transfers daily, up from 200.
