Dr. Dinesh Gupta co-authored a paper entitled “AmpC β-lactamases: A key to antibiotic resistance in ESKAPE pathogens” in Cell Surface, in which 1,790 AmpC enzymes were identified in 4,713 complete genomes, classified into nine enzyme groups. Understanding AmpC enzymes is crucial for uncovering resistance mechanisms and guiding antimicrobial strategies.

Dr. Luca Braga, Functional Cell Biology Group, has received a generous three-year grant from the CRTrieste Foundation for his work on identifying new therapeutic targets that stimulate lung tissue regeneration in idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), for a project entitled “REPAir“.
