The "French Village": discovering the regions and their specialties

For over 10 years, the French Village has invited international students to discover the culinary specialties of various French regions.
This annual event, organized by the BDE (Students’ Union) and the BDI (International Students’ Union) of Télécom Paris in partnership with the International Relations Office, is a highlight of student life at Télécom Paris. This event is fully aligned with our commitment to supporting international students, recognized by the Welcome to France*** label with a maximum 3-star rating. Each year, our teams and students work together to assist international students from the moment they are admitted, at the beginning of the year, and throughout their academic journey on our campus.
The French Village, which took place on January 24th, and then November 27th, 2025, is designed especially for international students, whether they are engineering students, master’s students, or PhD candidates. They even have the opportunity to vote for the best regional stand! This year, the final ranking is as follows:
- Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes
- Occitanie
- Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur
In a festive and friendly atmosphere, international students were able to discover and savor French specialties presented by their French peers, who were delighted to share the culinary traditions of their home regions. To enhance this cultural immersion, La Scène, a student-led musical group, performed French songs, adding a warm and vibrant touch to the event.
