Toronto (Dec. 11th, 2025) – Alpha Channel today revealed TankRat, the bold evolution of their acclaimed vehicular-action odyssey TankHead. Revealed during The Game Awards in partnership with Kepler Interactive, TankRat delivers explosive combat and cataclysmic mecha-mayhem as it heads towards launch on Steam and PlayStation 5 in Spring 2026.
As a thank-you to early supporters, all existing players on the Epic Games Store will receive the full TankRat update as a free day-one upgrade.

TankRat puts players in control of Whitaker, a digitized human consciousness capable of fusing with fully customizable war machines – the only way humans can exist in the world after a mysterious cataclysmic event. Battle through a brutal, war-torn wasteland teeming with mechanical monstrosities. Dismantle enemies, harvest their parts, and rebuild stronger for the next fight. Every mission is a test of survival, strategy, and sheer firepower as you descend deeper into the mechanical mystery at the heart of TankRat.
Fighting through the Event Containment Area, players must traverse the crumbling wasteland that has been left to ruin by the mechanical cancer of unchecked human ambition. The truth to salvation lies in the fabled city of Highpoint, but the lands between are home to colossal monsters that guard the Dead Zone, making the journey perilous for all who dare attempt it. Challenging these massive machines will test even the most battle-hardened pilots, but every fallen giant becomes a valuable resource. Tear away what remains useful, fuse their power with your own, and give yourself a better chance to survive what awaits in the deeper reaches of the wasteland.
