No one becomes a clinician to do paperwork, but it's becoming a bigger and bigger administrative burden, taking time and attention away from actually treating and supporting patients. That’s why we’re introducing Microsoft Dragon Copilot, the industry’s first AI assistant for clinical workflow. Check it out: https://lnkd.in/gNxEaRuf

Microsoft Dragon Copilot transforms the way clinicians work, and it all begins by streamlining documentation with new levels of customization from ambient note creation and natural language dictation. To custom texts, templates, and AI prompts, Copilot gives you control over how documentation gets done. It also lets you surface information without leaving your workflow from querying notes. And getting medical information to receiving encounter recording suggestions. Copilot gives you access to pertinent information when you need it most.

This is such a powerful and wonderful use of AI. From a patients perspective it also means having more human-to-human time with a doctor or clinician, instead of just watching them type into a keyboard.

Surprising that nobody here is discussing data sovereignty. Microsoft, as a US company, is subject to the CLOUD Act and Patriot Act, meaning AI-uploaded data or stored files could potentially be accessed by US authorities. How does Microsoft ensure GDPR compliance and protect patient data from extraterritorial access? I am leaving this here for the MS fanboys and girls.

Who wins in AI healthcare—clinicians, patients, or Big Tech? Satya Nadella announcement about Microsoft Dragon Copilot is exciting. AI could finally relieve clinicians of admin burdens and let them focus on patient care. But here’s the bigger question: Who controls the intelligence? We’ve seen this before. Electronic Health Records (EHRs) were meant to make healthcare more efficient. Instead, hospitals became dependent on a few software giants, costs soared, and doctors spent more time clicking than treating patients. Now, AI is reshaping healthcare again—but will clinicians own their AI assistants, or will they just be renting intelligence from Big Tech? Who decides how AI prioritizes diagnoses and treatments? Will hospitals be locked into proprietary AI ecosystems? What happens when dependence turns into pricing power? This isn’t about whether AI is safe—Microsoft and others will meet regulations. The real issue: Will healthcare providers control their AI future, or will they just be customers in a world where Big Tech owns the tools? AI should empower doctors, not make them more reliant on outside platforms. How do we ensure AI benefits those on the front lines—not just those selling it? #AI #Healthcare #FutureOfWork #AIReset

Indeed, with more and more administrative work, the pressure on clinicians is increasing. The launch of Microsoft Dragon Copilot is undoubtedly an important step forward, which can help us manage paperwork more efficiently and allow us to focus on patient care. I look forward to seeing how it changes the workflow of the medical industry.

Satya Nadella "World's FIRST AI Assistant for clinical workflow" 😂😂 Always fun to see big players like Microsoft "discover" spaces that Decoda Health has been solving for years. Welcome to the party, Microsoft! The administrative burden on clinicians is a massive problem worth solving, and we're glad to see more attention on it. For anyone curious about what's already possible in this space today (not tomorrow), check out what we've built at decodahealth.com
