  • Through its investment in Sercomgas, Easyner and Syneron, Inveready is driving the creation of Spain’s first integrated energy services group (SERCOM).
  • The transaction combines Sercomgas’s benchmark position in natural gas with Easyner’s specialised services and proprietary technology in the electricity segment.
  • The two companies’ technology platforms, Mercurio and Syneron, deliver automation, precision and efficiency, creating a differentiated offering that combines high-value managed services with cloud-based software across both energy verticals.

Inveready, a venture capital and private equity management firm with more than 20 years’ track record backing high-growth companies in Spain, has led — through its Inveready Innvierte Private Equity II fund — the integration of three companies to build Spain’s first integrated energy services group: Sercomgas Gas Solutions, EasySynergies and its technology platform, Syneron Solutions. This transaction brings together, under a single project, leading companies in their respective sectors to offer an integrated proposition of operational services and SaaS technology across the two major energy verticals: natural gas and electricity.

An integrated solution for the complexity of the European energy market

The differential value of this alliance lies in its ability to support any European energy operator under a flexible model, ranging from the complete outsourcing of operations to the provision of cloud-based technology platforms. The group responds to the increasingly complex reality of energy markets and the growing concentration of operators.

Sercomgas contributes its consolidated leadership in Spain and Portugal, together with deep expertise in the European gas market, where it operates in sixteen countries. Its success is built on specialised market knowledge and the ability to comprehensively cover the entire value chain — from licensing procedures to operational and balance management, billing and reporting — as well as all activity related to renewable gases. All of this translates into high-quality services, underpinned by Mercurio, its proprietary cloud platform that centralises and optimises the entire gas operation.

Easyner contributes its detailed knowledge of the Spanish electricity market, where it provides operational services to retailers, generators and market agents. Its technology platform, Syneron Solutions, develops intelligent, highly scalable solutions for the electricity sector. The advanced platforms for the retail and wholesale markets (Syneron and Syneron360) complete the project’s technology architecture, which has enabled it to win as clients both new market entrants and incumbent operators.

This combination of intelligent SaaS technology with expert operational delegation allows any European energy operator to manage both markets through a single strategic point of contact, facilitating its international expansion and the optimisation of operating costs.

Continuity in leadership and executive commitment

The project maintains continuity in its management teams and founding partners, ensuring the quality and closeness of service that have set both companies apart since their inception:

“This alliance reflects our vision of building leading platforms by combining proprietary technology with strong operational capability. Bringing these companies together gives us the scale and versatility needed to accelerate an ambitious expansion strategy in the European energy market.” — Carlos Conti, Managing Partner, Inveready

“We have spent years as a benchmark partner for gas services and technology in Europe. Joining forces with Easyner and Syneron allows us to offer our clients a comprehensive response across both energy verticals, expanding our ability to support operators in any European country, regardless of their level of outsourcing.” — Javier Galindo, Founder and CEO, Sercomgas Gas Solutions

“The European energy market demands a step change. Operators need not only advanced technological tools, but also the backing of an expert team that understands the complexity of day-to-day operations. By integrating our SaaS platforms — Mercurio and Syneron — with our teams’ know-how, we offer the most complete solution in the Iberian and European markets, while keeping our commitment to closeness and excellence with our clients fully intact.” — Simona Sacripante, Founder and CEO, Easyner / Syneron Solutions
