We are committed to providing our students with exceptional educational opportunities that prepare them for success in an ever-changing world. In line with this commitment, we are thrilled to announce our first global partnership with IE University in Spain, an institution renowned for training impactful leaders capable of creating a better tomorrow.

Enhancing Future Pathways with IE University

As part of our partnership, iSP Future Pathway Advisers will have access to IE University’s Global Counsellor Academy. This Academy offers excellent professional development opportunities, equipping our advisors with new insights, tools, and leadership skills to transform education and engage diverse groups of students in today’s dynamic educational environments, in line with iSP’s Professional Learning strategy.

Additionally, IE University will support our teaching staff by providing career training in their subject areas and developing content for parents. Furthermore, up to 10 iSP students attending IE University will be eligible for a 15% scholarship on their first-year tuition fees. This collaboration with IE University marks a significant step forward in enhancing our Future Pathways programme, which aims to support academic achievement and foundational life competencies, ensuring our students can make informed choices about their next educational steps.

Insights from the Global Week Panel at IE University

Earlier this year, Fiona Lee-Allan, Regional Learning Director for iSP Iberia, participated in an educational discussion at IE University in Madrid. The panel, part of a Global Week event, focused on “Advancing Trends in Education: Skills, Needs, and Challenges of Future Generations.” Alongside Dr. Maripe Menendez, Head of Ibero-America – Development and Recognition at International Baccalaureate, and Elena Somoza, Director of Global Markets for Europe & Central Asia, Fiona explored various themes crucial to modern education.

The panel discussed trends in international diplomas like the International Baccalaureate (IB) versus A-Levels, the emergence of new educational pathways, and the changes in student academic levels post-pandemic. They also delved into the development of new skill sets required for the future. Fiona highlighted iSP’s ambition to help students develop and apply foundational skills necessary for success now and in the future. These essential ‘life competencies’ include cognitive, interpersonal, global, self-leadership, and digital skills, which are embedded into day-to-day learning and central to our International Learning Opportunities and Pathways and Scholarships programmes.

Preparing Students for Future Success

The discussion also emphasized the importance of preparing students for their future pathways and what effective university-school partnerships look like. There were many questions about trends and preferred destinations for higher education, as well as emerging disciplines beyond traditional business degrees. Fiona shared how iSP’s bespoke career-related programme, Future Pathways, supports academic achievement alongside foundational life competencies. This approach ensures students can make informed decisions about their educational futures, equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel.

Our partnership with IE University not only strengthens our commitment to providing high-quality education but also reinforces our dedication to preparing students for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. We are excited to work closely with IE University and leverage their expertise to benefit our students, educators, and the broader iSP community.

Looking Ahead

As we look to the future, our collaboration with IE University represents a significant milestone in our mission to deliver transformative learning experiences. By integrating professional development for our advisors, career training for our teachers, and scholarship opportunities for our students, we are enhancing the educational journey for everyone involved.

iSP is proud to share the progress and successes of our partnership with IE University, and all our partner universities. We work in collaboration to consistently inspire our entire network to prioritize life competencies and holistic education. Together, we are building a brighter future for our students, where confidence grows, and every learner has the tools to thrive.
