The BNP Paribas Fortis European Open, organized by Tennium, will take place in Brussels from 17 to 25 October 2026, bringing once again some of the world’s best players to Belgium’s biggest tennis tournament.

Norway’s Casper Ruud (ATP-17) will compete in this year’s edition, further strengthening an already impressive player field that includes Belgian favourites Zizou Bergs (ATP-38) and Raphaël Collignon (ATP-64).

A former world No. 2 and three-time Grand Slam finalist, Ruud has been one of the most consistent performers on the ATP Tour in recent years. The 27-year-old from Oslo has built a strong career highlighted by 14 ATP titles, including victories in Barcelona and Madrid, as well as Grand Slam finals at Roland Garros (2022, 2023) and the US Open (2022).

In 2026, he continues to show top-level form, reaching the final of the ATP Masters 1000 in Rome and the quarterfinals in Madrid, confirming his status among the elite of the sport.

With Ruud’s arrival, Brussels welcomes a player with undeniable international appeal, making his debut at the tournament and adding further depth to an already strong line-up featuring both international stars and Belgian talent competing on home soil.
