The global fashion group AWWG has been recognised as a Great Place to Work (GPTW) by obtaining the prestigious certification that highlights companies that meet certain standards or minimum criteria to be recognised as a great place to work.
In this way, AWWG achieved the Great Place to Work recognition, by conducting anonymous employee surveys that systematically measure and evaluate aspects such as the work environment and trust in the company, among other factors. This assessment is grounded in the firsthand working experience at AWWG, with the company’s positive score being earned both from store employees and office staff.
With over 4,500 employees from up to 66 different nationalities, AWWG has achieved certification in a total of nine countries: Germany, Austria, Spain, France, Hungary, Italy, Mexico, the Czech Republic, and Switzerland.
The Great Place to Work certification comes as a response to the company’s Human Resources policies, which position AWWG as a leader in employee well-being. Marcella Wartenbergh, CEO of AWWG, stated, “We are very proud and happy to be recognised as a Great Place to Work. Our commitment is to continue placing our employees at the centre and demonstrate that they are the group’s most valuable asset. Every day, we put our efforts into improving the experience and well-being of our people, which allows us to thrive together.”
Carlos del Río Cortázar, Vice President of Human Resources at AWWG, commented: “Receiving this certification is a sign that we are on the right path and it motivates us to continue developing a corporate culture that cares for our teams.”
At AWWG, ensuring a committed team and an exceptional working environment are key pillars to making an organisation a great place to work. The company promotes the well-being of its employees by fostering a healthy working environment where teams can thrive and reach their full potential. Its versatile and sustainable workspaces are designed to inspire collaboration and inclusion, reflecting the company’s principles.
One of AWWG’s priorities is the professional development of its employees, promoted through an Internal Mobility Programme, known as ‘MOVE,’ which aims to support employees in gaining a broader perspective of the company, acquiring new skills, and enhancing their professional careers by embracing new horizons and challenges.
AWWG also places importance on digital disconnection and facilitates flexible working hours. To optimise work planning, AWWG has introduced Focus Fridays: on this day of the week meetings are deliberately avoided, allowing employees to focus on key priorities and strategic planning. This initiative underscores the company’s dedication to fostering productivity and efficiency.
These and other implemented measures align with the company’s DNA, demonstrating a proactive effort to align with and adapt to the evolving work models within the industry.
