Es evidente que la inteligencia artificial ha llegado para quedarse, y aunque podemos intuir su impacto, aún no somos conscientes de todas sus implicaciones. Para algunos, la tecnología es vista como la solución a todos nuestros problemas. Sus discursos están llenos de entusiasmo y optimismo. Para otros la IA puede poner en peligro la humanidad. Como en una peli de Quentin Tarantino sólo ven muerte, destrucción y caos.
¿Qué relato es el verdadero? Ante estas dos posturas enfrentadas conviene recordar lo que como humanos nos ha estado acompañando desde el principio de la historia, porque es, en esos conceptos, ideas o principios atemporales, en aquellos que han superado el paso de los tiempos, donde reside la verdadera sabiduría. Tanto para entender por qué nos polarizamos, como para entender las implicaciones y nuestro posicionamiento ante esta nueva tecnología. Reflexiones que dos mil quinientos años después siguen estando vigentes y alumbrando nuestro camino en todos los ámbitos del conocimiento.
¿Y qué nos dice la historia de nuestra tendencia a posicionarnos? Cuando profundizas en la naturaleza del ser humano, comprendes que por alguna razón evolutiva nos gustan los extremos. Somos tribales, hacerlo nos asegura formar parte de algo, refuerza nuestra identidad, nos conecta con el lado emocional. Lo nuevo, o al menos lo aparentemente nuevo, despierta nuestra curiosidad, nuestro interés. También vamos a los extremos porque es una forma de simplificar. Nos ahorra tiempo, nos hace pensar menos y nos ayuda a tomar decisiones de manera más rápida. Esta forma de operar, que básicamente consiste en “reducir la realidad” no nos asegura tomar las mejores decisiones.
Y precisamente eso puede ser un riesgo para tu negocio.
En el mundo de la empresa también nos posicionamos y tomamos partido rápidamente. Supongo que el FOMO empresarial juega su papel y en ese rol, del “hacer” antes que el “pensar” la mayoría de las empresas ante esta nueva ola han decidido invertir grandes presupuestos en la adopción de esta tecnología desde un punto de vista puramente técnico. Es decir, se están centrando únicamente en la herramienta y en su uso.
Y, ¿ por qué debería importarme que en mi negocio mis equipos vayan más allá de esa mirada técnica cuando adopten esta tecnología?
