Last week, the Critical Design Review (hashtag#CDR) of the Comet Interceptor Satellite, started at hashtag#ESTEC, marking a crucial milestone for the project. Vincenzo Mancini, PhD, Project Manager at OHB Italia S.p.A. for this ESA-JAXA mission, got an insider perspective of the meeting.

💬 “We analyzed a lot of documents, which ESA reviewed and commented on. During the meeting at ESTEC we worked to consolidate key decisions for the next phases.”

💬 “The project is solid and progressing well.”

💬 “Yes, overall we are aligned with the schedule. The process of course requires careful and continuous hashtag#planning.”

💬 “After the CDR is completed, we will move into the implementation phase: we will start building and testing the satellite that will embark on its extraordinary scientific mission.”

💬 “The constructive discussions with ESA. Their recognition of our work confirms that we are on the right path, which is very motivating for the entire team.”
