At International Schools Partnership (ISP), we believe that everyone is a learner, and that includes our educators and advisers.

As part of our unwavering commitment to lifelong learning and professional growth, ISP is proud to announce new funding dedicated to the development of our Future Pathways Advisers and Leads.

Our advisers empower students to make informed decisions about their next steps after school life, such as university and career pathways.

This latest initiative reflects our belief that investing in our people is investing in our students’ futures.

What does the funding include?

The new funding covers the full cost of certified professional qualification for three thriving ISP advisers from South America, Central America, and Europe.

Our ISP advisers will be certified by the world’s most recognised education providers, including UCLA (Extension) and University of Pennsylvania (Graduate School of Education).

Chris Kelso, Group Head of Student Futures, ISP said:

“At ISP, we know that better trained advisers means more empowered students. With this initiative, we are not only investing in the professional growth of our colleagues, but also ensuring that our students receive the best support to succeed in the future.”

The funding is part of the structured ISP Future Pathways Professional Learning Programme,  which also comprises external accreditation, internal certification, and funding towards membership of a relevant professional body. The upskilling programme ensures each ISP Future Pathways Adviser can confidently deliver quality one-to-one counselling at their schools for every student.

We also facilitate knowledge sharing between advisers within our global community of ISP Future Pathways Advisers, initiated through the ISP Futures Conference for Advisers – building a supportive community of practice for our advisers to continue to thrive.

Why future pathways investment matters

Every ISP student has a supportive community to help them reach their destination of choice and make informed decisions about their future after-school lives.

Destination of choice refers to students making well-informed decisions about their future beyond school and continuing to thrive in their preferred pathway to a successful future – be it by gaining access to further and higher education or within the world of work.

At the core of this supportive community are our ISP Future Pathways Advisers who help students to stay informed about the latest insights on future jobs and careers and help build their confidence in their chosen path.

We support our advisers to continuously adapt their practices, meaning they stay ahead of the fast pace of change in the working world.

Wrap-around support for our students

Advisers are one piece in the puzzle of our students’ support network. We also offer bespoke scholarships via our network of world-class institutions, careers fairs and specialist workshops.

We also work closely with each school’s parent and carer community to help them confidently support their child to evaluate their choices beyond school. Our A-Z speaker series leverages experts from an impressive pool of over 100 global university partners. It features talks from established academics and educators across a diverse range of disciplines – from A though to Z.
