Es paradójico este momento en el que vivimos. Una era de exigencia sin precedentes, donde nuestras expectativas se elevan constantemente, pero donde cada vez somos menos leales, menos fieles.
Por eso lo que se lleva son las relaciones abiertas. Se lleva tener la seguridad de poder contar con varias opciones por si una te falla. Se lleva sentir libertad, autonomía y control. Se lleva la novedad, la emoción de experimentar cosas nuevas. Y no estoy hablando de las relaciones entre parejas (que eso es, ya, para otro artículo), sino de las relaciones de los consumidores con el mercado. Del vínculo que tenemos con las marcas que nos rodean.
Y es que hablar de relaciones abiertas en el consumo es hablar de la nueva fidelidad. De una fidelidad que refleja el momento histórico único en el que estamos viviendo. Un momento donde conviven más generaciones y más diversas que nunca, donde la tecnología lo impregna todo y lo híbrido se normaliza. Donde la competencia es feroz, el mercado está saturado y los consumidores abrumados por el ruido constante de la publicidad y las estrategias de marketing. Un consumidor, que, al fin y al cabo, lo único que quiere es sentirse escuchado y estar satisfecho.
Porque, seamos honestos, los consumidores lo que buscamos es sentir confianza y seguridad, aunque queramos sentir la libertad de tener una relación abierta, de tener muchas opciones. Y esa exigencia y poca lealtad se traduce, en el fondo, en una búsqueda genuina de relaciones basadas en el respeto, en la escucha y en la experiencia significativa. Porque no buscamos transacciones, buscamos vínculos. Marcas que nos entiendan, nos acompañen y nos aporten algo real. Aunque luego no les prometamos exclusividad ni les juremos amor eterno.
La relación y la experiencia son la clave
Las marcas que entienden este nuevo código de las relaciones abiertas son las que triunfan. Las marcas que aceptan que el consumidor ya no es de nadie, que no pertenece, que elige libremente cada día. Marcas que han dejado de vender productos para empezar a construir vínculos, que se centran en acompañar el estilo de vida de las personas, en ser parte de su mundo, sin invadirlo.
