In April 2025, AMAC Aerospace achieved a landmark in wide-body aircraft maintenance by simultaneously hosting five Boeing B747s at its Basel headquarters—an extraordinary demonstration of logistical precision, infrastructure capacity, and technical competence. This unprecedented operation underscores AMAC’s leadership in the field of heavy maintenance and VVIP completion services.

The extensive maintenance inputs included a broad array of checks—6A, A, B1, C1, C3, and D—spanning 12- to 48-month inspections. Furthermore, the aircraft were equipped with cutting-edge SATCOM and Starlink communication systems, reflecting a growing demand for real-time connectivity in both corporate and VVIP aviation segments.

All five aircraft were returned to service on schedule and within budget, reaffirming AMAC’s reputation for reliability, engineering excellence, and disciplined execution. Founded in 2007, AMAC Aerospace Switzerland AG is now the largest privately owned completion and maintenance facility globally, serving an elite clientele with bespoke solutions and uncompromising standards.

Led by Executive Chairman and Group CEO Kadri Muhiddin and Group CFO Mauro Grossi, the company continues to set benchmarks in business aviation maintenance. This operation stands as a historical milestone—not only for AMAC, but for the entire sector.
