Startup Valencia and TechBBQ, a key event in the Scandinavian tech landscape, have signed a collaboration agreement to establish a strategic alliance that promotes innovation, business development, internationalization, and investment between Spain and Denmark.
Key pillars of this alliance include promoting the international expansion of startups, shared access to tech infrastructure in both cities, talent mobility between ecosystems, and the organization of business events and trade missions to strengthen the connection between Valencia and Copenhagen.
The collaboration will unfold through joint programs and activities aimed at startups, entrepreneurs, and other ecosystem stakeholders. An institutional visit is also planned, where representatives from Valencia’s startup scene will travel to Copenhagen to gain insight into Denmark’s tech environment and explore new avenues for cooperation.
“This agreement with TechBBQ is a key step toward positioning Valencia’s startups within one of the world’s most innovative and sustainable ecosystems. We aim to facilitate their entry into new markets, create high-value connections, and accelerate their growth with a global perspective,” said Nacho Mas, CEO of Startup Valencia.

As part of the agreement, TechBBQ will have a prominent presence at VDS 2025, a major international tech event in Europe, which will hold its eighth edition on October 22–23 at the City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia. According to organizers, the event is expected to gather over 12,000 professionals from 120 countries, more than 3,000 startups, 1,500 corporations, and 800 investors managing assets of over €300 billion. A valuable opportunity for TechBBQ to engage with the global entrepreneurial and investor community.
