On June 2nd, at the Osaka Expo 2025, on the occasion of Italy’s Republic Day, Maestro Giovanni Allevi will represent Italy and his native region, Marche, in a special concert event that pays tribute to the beauty of cultural dialogue, the strength of gentle relationships, and the enrichment that comes from deep connections.
For this reason, the composer has chosen to take the stage at the Festival Station of Expo Osaka not only with his beloved piano, but also accompanied by a Japanese string orchestra — a gesture that reflects his bond with and affection for the host country.
The concert will feature some of the most iconic pieces from Allevi’s thirty-year career, beloved by audiences around the world and already familiar to many in Japan.
To make this Italian celebration even more special, the artist will present the world premiere of his new composition Nostalgia, the Adagio from his Concerto MM22 for Cello and String Orchestra, which will be released in full in the fall.
A unique moment in which great contemporary music meets the spirit of Japan — a country that has always been a source of inspiration for the Maestro.
