Location: #Milan (with national and international travel).
OHB Italia is looking for a qualified #ProjectManager to join its Telescopes Business Unit, supporting the design, integration, and deployment of advanced optical systems for space safety and planetary defense.
The selected candidate will lead the full lifecycle of complex projects, most notably involving the #Flyeye telescope, a state-of-the-art, fully automated system developed in support of international SST and NEO monitoring programmes.
We are looking for professionals with:
🔹 A solid academic background in Mechanical, Aerospace, Optical or Industrial Engineering (MSc or equivalent)
🔹 At least 3 years of experience in technical roles involving complex systems (ideally telescopes, astronomical observatories, optical instruments, or mechatronic platforms)
🔹 Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage technical suppliers, coordinate schedules and budgets, and ensure contractual compliance
🔹 Familiarity with project planning and risk management tools (MS Project, Excel), and fluency in English for technical documentation and stakeholder communication.
