A Post-doctoral fellowship is available at the Functional Cell Biology Laboratory, headed by Dr. Luca Braga at ICGEB Trieste, Italy, funded by Fondazione CRTrieste under the project REPAir: REProgramming the lung to repAir. The project aims to discover new druggable targets in respiratory diseases, with a specific focus on restoring endogenous epithelial Type II cell homeostasis in different types of respiratory diseases including idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and lung adeno carcinoma (LUAD).
The position is for 12 months, starting on 1 October 2025. An extension for additional 24 months will be subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.
