At ASTICAN, we are dedicated to the repair and conversion of ships and offshore platforms, a complex task we carry out in the Port of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Explaining what we do to our families, is not always easy: every vessel is like a miniature city, with multiple areas and systems that require specialised attention.
That is why we recently opened the doors of our shipyard to welcome the families of our team members. It was an opportunity to show them our working environment up close, explain the processes, and teach them how, every day, we add value to our customers, the port, and the city of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
The day was truly special: children looked in awe at the ships and cranes, while adults discovered the magnitude of each marine repair project. It was a reminder that our efforts not only keep vessels afloat but also strengthen the pride and connection among those of us who make up the ASTICAN family.
Thanks to the HR team for promoting this initiative and everyone for taking part. Moments like these inspire us to continue working with passion and excellence.
