Once again, the US Open in New York was the perfect stage for Tennium players to showcase their talent, grit, and perseverance at the highest level. Our athletes left an indelible mark, reaffirming the potential and quality of our players.

Every match, every point, and every victory reflected the passion that defines our players. With an unbreakable spirit, they measured up against the world’s best, offering memorable performances that fill us with pride.

Notable Performances in New York

Our female players put on an outstanding display, demonstrating the strength and consistent growth of the tennis we represent.

Marketa Vondrousova: The 2023 Wimbledon champion, Vondrousova, gave us a stellar performance. Demonstrating her quality and resilience, the Czech player advanced steadily through the tournament’s early rounds. On her way to the quarterfinals, she secured high-caliber victories by defeating Jasmine Paolini (ranked 7th) in the third round and Elena Rybakina (ranked 9th) in the Round of 16. With a smart game full of variety and talent, she reached the quarterfinals of a Grand Slam once again, confirming her ability to compete among the elite. Marketa was ready to take on world number one Aryna Sabalenka but a knee injury didn’t allow her to go on court.

Rebeka Masarova: The Swiss player gave a heroic fight in her first-ever match on the legendary Arthur Ashe stadium. She faced the number one ranked player in the world, Aryna Sabalenka, displaying a great level of tennis and character.

Anna Bondar: The Hungarian provided one of the greatest upsets in the early rounds as she eliminated the 15th seed, Elina Svitolina, showing her power and continuing her good form over the summer.

Sorana Cirstea: In a career full of great achievements, Cirstea came to NY full of confidence straight from winning her 4th WTA title in Cleveland. She continued to display a wolrd class tennis during her clash with Solana Sierra before coming just short in a high quality match against Karolina Muchova. The battle between Sorana and Solana marked the Argentinian’s first direct entry at a Grand Slam Main Draw following her success and ranking climb at Wimbledon.

Charo Esquiva: The promising junior player from Spain reached the quarterfinals in both the singles and doubles draws of the US Open Junior tournament. Her impressive run highlights her bright future in the sport and confirms that a new generation of talent is on its way to the big stages.

Grit and Ambition on the Court

Our male representatives fought with heart, confirming that the future of tennis at Tennium is promising.

Francisco Comesaña: In his second appearance in the US Open main draw, Comesaña managed to advance to the second round, a significant achievement that adds to his great rise in the rankings. His battle against the notable Cameron Norrie is a clear example of how he faces the biggest challenges with courage and determination.

Sebastián Báez and Mariano Navone: Both players gave an impressive display of their high-level tennis, confirming their place among the elite. Báez, with his fighting spirit, and Navone, who fought a great five-set battle against Giron, proved their worth in the main draw of the US Open.

Facundo Bagnis and Juan Pablo Ficovich: Both players fought hard in their respective matches in the qualifying rounds. Their presence in the New York tournament is a testament to the high level they are at and their tireless pursuit of going further in every competition.

At Tennium, we are incredibly proud of the effort, discipline, and passion that our athletes displayed at the 2025 US Open. Today’s results are the foundation of tomorrow’s successes.
