ALIGNED PROJECT CONCLUDES AFTER THREE YEARS OF COLLABORATION

The ALIGNED project concluded in September 2025, marking the successful completion of three years of collaborative work to improve environmental and socio-economic assessment across multiple bio-based sectors. Funded by the European Union’s Horizon Europe programme, the initiative brought together 12 partners from seven countries to develop a harmonised, evidence-based modelling framework for Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) in the construction, woodworking, textile, pulp and paper, and bio-chemicals sectors.
Sustainable Innovations led communication, dissemination, and exploitation activities. It ensured ALIGNED’s results reached industry stakeholders, policymakers, and the scientific community. Activities included designing and implementing the project’s Communication and Dissemination Strategy; managing ALIGNED’s digital channels (LinkedIn, X/Twitter, YouTube) and the project website; and producing multimedia content such as newsletters, videos, and articles. Sustainable Innovations also organised high-visibility dissemination events, including the Science-for-Policy joint event with CALIMERO, which attracted more than 130 participants, and supported exploitation through the final Exploitation & IP Plan and IP protection strategies within the consortium.
Although ALIGNED’s activities officially ended in September 2025, its methodologies, tools, and partnerships will continue to have a lasting impact.
