We expand to France with Recyclocal: building the European textile recycling network
Launching Recyclocal, our new textile waste management facility in Toulouse (Occitanie) focused on sorting for recycling, is our next step beyond our borders.
France
We love cheese and wine, but beyond that, France stands as a European leader in textile circularity. Over the last 15 years, the country has developed an advanced eco-organisation system (Refashion), an Extended Producer Responsibility model that guides the sector towards reuse and recycling.
For us, France is the ideal ground to scale our industrial know-how and contribute to a strong, local circular economy.
Occitanie and the union with local actors
In the Occitanie region, we found a vibrant ecosystem already moving towards circularity. Through Recyclocc, a cluster of regional textile actors, we partnered with Paul Boyé, Filatures du Parc, and Buitex to create the new Recyclocal Textile plant near Toulouse.
The first truckloads of textile waste have already arrived, and we are ready to begin operations, a milestone made possible with the support of ADEME, Refashion, and Région Occitanie.
What we do
Equipped with Wastex’s cutting-edge sorting technology, the plant can process all types of textile waste : pre-consumer, post-industrial, and post-consumer; across all fibre compositions.
At Recyclocal, we focus on sorting for recycling for textile-to-textile products, forming part of the Coleo Network, where all plants operate with standardised processes and full traceability.
What comes next
This first project in France marks the beginning of Coleo’s European network of recycling plants. Our aim is clear: to build regional value chains that turn textile waste into new resources, locally, transparently, and competitively.
