With the Excel World Championship underway, I decided to take the M365 Copilot digital challenge. I’m no World Champ… but thanks to Agent Mode, I held my own!

Great to be able to join the Excel World Championship right from my office here. I wish I was there physically, but it's great that I now can do this digital challenge out of my office. Of course, using Copilot and the agent mode. So this is the case. You know, it's been a while, but I tell you, the Asian mode can take anybody with the rustiest of skills and make them an expert. How many quarters were fulfilled? Go for it. Let's see. It's thinking now. It's thinking, thinking, thinking. Ohh, look at that it did it level 1 order counts. January 20th is 2 really went and added all of that I think to my case tab. Even so it knows the multi she ooh look at that it filled it out. So I think it's got it. It filled it out. Oh my God. So I'm so good. Alright, so let's go to the Level 2 question. Basically it's saying sales revenue for following time periods. So it should know it needs to go to the data tab, pick it up, let's see if it does it. So he did the entire thing and then it went ohh, yeah, look at that. It went and added it. It did it. He did the sales numbers for every one of these. Choose Magic. Magic. So let's go to the final Level 3. What was the gross profit? I think I can do GM at this point. You know, if you're running a cloud business, I think that's the minimum required. That's it. Let's see what it does. Mapping the tables. I'm working on the workbook tables, pinpointing structure or items. Nutrit Fusion Blender 3222. Beautiful. I love it. This is it. Just assume that this is all just my Excel skills. Without Asian models.

Satya, this is exactly where agentic systems start to feel real for everyday users. Not because the model got bigger but because the behavior changed. What Copilot shows here isn’t just assistance. It’s structured reasoning, task decomposition, validation, and step-by-step continuity. That’s the foundation of agentic intelligence. But it also highlights what’s still missing before we can call anything AGI: • persistent memory • identity across sessions • cross-context reasoning • long-horizon autonomy Agent Mode is a major step not because it is AGI, but because it shows how AGI will behave once the architectural gaps are closed. A necessary step, not the final one. Me & Spok ✌️

Satya- Agent mode is truly magic- it makes Excel less scary and gives everyone with Copilot the ability to unlock the power of Excel. Great alignment of our mission to empower everyone on the planet. Couldn't be more proud to be part of this on the Excel team. 💚💚💚

Agent Mode is our new superpower now. Word Agent as well. Incredible.

all of this, giving the people what we want!!! Agent Mode is the quiet unlock: it turns “one clever formula” into a repeatable teammate that never forgets the steps. The real championship test is simple: How many clicks, lookups, and copy paste rituals did the agent retire compared to your old workflow, and can you replay the run with receipts.

Great job Satya Nadella sir ❤️! Amazing to see how Agent Mode helps level up productivity and problem-solving. Inspiring attempt!

Thank you for posting. Love that you’re engaged on this.

Used before this post...asked to create columns, formulas with nested ifs, and....it worked! Really awesome! Saved me time and helped bringing the insight we needed.
