Ukraine war, Europe’s role and Donald Trump’s decisions.
Mediaset has prepared a survey together with GAD3 to analyze the current geopolitical situation after key events such as the war in Ukraine. The survey provides information on the role of Europe in this conflict, the possible causes of Donald Trump’s decisions and the opinion of Spanish society in this regard.

The results of the study have led to headlines such as the following:

7 out of 10 Spaniards believe that the war in Ukraine is weakening Europe’s economy and stability.
This is followed by 18% who consider that this situation strengthens the union between the European countries; 5% consider that it is not having a particular impact and finally 7% of those surveyed are unaware of it.

58% of respondents rate Donald Trump’s position on the Ukraine conflict negatively
We asked respondents about their general perception of Donald Trump’s position on the Ukraine-Russia conflict. 14% rate his actions positively, 21% maintain a neutral stance, neither positively nor negatively inclined, and 7% have no opinion on the matter.

Nearly half of respondents believe Trump's position is economically motivated
But, what are the causes of Trump's position? Forty-nine percent of the respondents relate it to economic reasons; followed by 26% who link it to his relationship with Putin; 11% to his relationship with Europe; 6% to other reasons and the remaining 8% do not know.

Universe: citizens residing in Spain over 18 years of age.
Scope: National.
Quotas: By sex, age and geographical area according to the electoral census (INE).
Data collection procedure: computer-assisted online interview (CAWI).
Sample size: 811 interviews
Sampling error: ±3.52% (n=811) for a confidence level of 95.5% (two sigmas) and in the worst case scenario of P=Q=0.5 under the assumption of simple random sampling.
