VDS 2025, one of Europe’s most influential tech events, has announced the central themes that will define the content program of its eighth edition, set to take place on October 22 and 23 at the City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia. Under the theme “Collaborate Today. Transform Tomorrow” and with Symbiosis as its core narrative, the event, organized by Startup Valencia, aims to spark a shared reflection on how technology, when aligned with human purpose, can provide real answers to the world’s most pressing challenges.
The VDS 2025 agenda will explore the future of technology in action, covering topics ranging from Smart Cities and Digital Infrastructure to the most cutting-edge Consumer Technologies. Key areas such as Talent Development and the Future of Work, advancements in HealthTech and Longevity, and the transition towards new energy models powered by GreenTech will also be featured. The program further delves into Scientific Innovation and DeepTech, as well as the latest breakthroughs in Aerospace and Cybersecurity. Designed to bring together the key players shaping tomorrow’s world in the age of artificial intelligence, the content will be presented through a hands-on, cross-disciplinary approach involving startups, scaleups, major corporations, global investors, and institutional stakeholders.
At the heart of the program is the evolving relationship between society and technology in everyday life. Emerging trends such as generative AI, augmented reality, personalization, and immersive experiences take center stage, with a focus on their application across work, education, consumer behavior, and entertainment. The agenda also includes cutting-edge technologies like quantum computing, nanotechnology, and photonics, presented as game-changers for multiple industries.
Another core focus is on the role of technology in accelerating the shift toward more sustainable economic and energy models. Topics will include decarbonization, ecosystem regeneration, smart mobility, human-centered urban design, and infrastructure digitalization—all aimed at fostering more resilient, livable, and connected cities, as well as modernizing public administration through tech-driven innovation.
Human talent also plays a central role, with sessions addressing new leadership models, organizational culture, and the global race for talent in an increasingly competitive and inclusive environment. In the healthcare space, discussions will explore the impact of AI, biotechnology, and predictive analytics on the evolution of healthcare systems, highlighting advances in prevention, personalized treatment, and more efficient, humane, and sustainable care delivery.
“Each of these areas represents an urgent challenge, but also a genuine opportunity for transformation—if we can collaborate with vision and responsibility. VDS 2025 doesn’t just aim to showcase technological innovation, but to facilitate business connections that generate real impact,” says Juan Luis Hortelano, President of Startup Valencia.
According to estimates by the organizers, VDS 2025 will gather over 12,000 attendees from 120 countries in Valencia, alongside more than 3,000 startups, 1,500 corporations, and 800 international investors with over €300 billion in assets under management. A key date in the global tech calendar, the event once again positions Valencia as a global epicenter for the future of technology.
