The 2025 edition of FutureChain Hackathon, the initiative promoted by CSCMP Italy Roundtable and dedicated to young Supply Chain talents, has concluded. After days of discussion and work, the student teams presented their solutions to the sponsoring companies, including Comau.
Comau participated in the event with a challenge dedicated to the management and synchronization of materials in customer construction sites, a central theme for the future of industrial logistics. The objective of the challenge was to develop a new organizational model for the warehouse and logistics flows capable of ensuring punctual material availability, order, and visibility, overcoming the physical and operational constraints typical of construction sites.
The winning team designated is the one composed of Cristiana Bonomi, Clara Marcomini, and Alessia Proce.
“The Team managed to present a model with a low economic impact that focuses on process revision and the use of existing infrastructure, a quick win solution. Furthermore, the proposed solutions are not rigid but easily modulable and adaptable to new Site layouts.” Bianco added: “We wanted to participate in FutureChain Hackathon to confront ourselves with the innovative vision of students on an important topic for our business. Their out-of-the-box approach proved invaluable for imagining new ways of synchronizing and tracing materials. All the works presented highlight a convergence in suggesting innovative solutions in digitalization and technological implementation, and are an expression of the excellent academic preparation and analytical capacity of the participants.”
