  • Project number: 2023-1-SI01-KA220-VET-000166007

  • Duration: 01/09/2023 – 31/08/2025

FoOdyssey aims to innovate European agri-food VET schools by providing teachers with innovative didactic tools to teach food systems’ sustainability and its link to climate change. The final output will be a digital educational entertainment tool co-created by VET teachers and food/climate experts, through which students – via the train the trainer approach- will acquire knowledge about the nexus between them, food systems and the environment.

Objectives of FoOdyssey project

The project has the following objectives:

  • Improve green skills of VET teachers and learners about climate change and its nexus with food systems, outlining the crucial role of personal behaviour in tackling the climate crisis.
  • Innovate teaching methods in VET School thanks to new, digital approaches such as gamification and edutainment methods, able to involve students and let them take active part in the learning process.

To achieve them, the consortium will create:

  2. METHODOLOGICAL AND INNOVATIVE TOOLS FOR TEACHERS to develop successful educational strategies (learning by playing) to raise students’ awareness on climate change:
    1. ONLINE OPEN-ACCESS ESCAPE ROOM. Available in 5 languages.
    2. TOOLBOX WITH DIGITAL INSTRUMENTS AND SUPPORTING MATERIAL TO THE ESCAPE ROOM to explore the topics tackled in the game.
