Tennium secures a new sponsorship deal to support one of Spain’s brightest young tennis talents

At Tennium, we believe that building the future of sport starts with investing in people. Supporting young talent is part of our responsibility—not only within our team, but across the wider tennis ecosystem. That’s why we’re proud to announce a new sponsorship for Charo Esquiva, one of Spain’s most promising tennis players, through a partnership secured with ALTEN Spain.

At just 17, Charo has already achieved remarkable success, including the Spanish Junior Championship and the Tennis Europe U14 circuit. She’s now competing on some of the world’s biggest stages: Roland Garros, Wimbledon, and the US Open. Her talent, discipline, resilience, and ambition are all values that align perfectly with both Tennium’s and ALTEN’s vision.

ALTEN, a leading engineering and technology consultancy, shares these same values and has joined Charo’s journey to support her development on and off the court.

“I’d rather fly to compete in Australia than spend five weekends in the park.”

Charo started playing tennis at the age of four. “My dad played padel, and I ended up in tennis lessons in my hometown. I loved the feeling of hitting the ball and competing,” she recalls. By age nine, she was already competing nationally, and at thirteen she entered the international circuit. Her days now revolve around training, travelling, tournaments, and studies. “I make a lot of sacrifices, like skipping nights out with friends because I have training the next morning — but I do it happily,” she says.

Despite tennis being an individual sport, Charo is quick to acknowledge the team behind her. “Without my family and coaches, none of this would be possible. My parents help me emotionally and logistically, and my coaches are like family to me.”

After a demanding 2024 season, in which constant travel and poor preparation affected her performance, Charo and her team decided to shift focus in 2025: fewer tournaments, more training, more balance. “Now I enjoy being on court again,” she says. This renewed mindset is helping her grow not only as a player, but also in maturity. “I try to stay consistent and make my opponent work hard for every single point.”

At Tennium, we remain committed to talent, to perseverance, and to building the future of tennis. We’re proud to support Charo on her journey.
