Today we would like to share with you a significant milestone for the security of our port!
At ASTICAN, with the involvement of the Health, Safety and Environment Department, we have successfully carried out a Level 2 emergency drill of the Port Facility Security Plan (PFSP), activating protocols upon detection of a suspicious package (ISPS Code).
This exercise not only tested our response capacity, but also reinforced the crucial collaboration with the State Security Forces and Corps.
We are especially grateful for the participation of the Port Authority of Las Palmas, the Port Police, the Port Civil Guard and the Civil Guard´s EOD-CBRN Unit (TEDAX-NRBQ in Spanish), whose involvement is essential to ensuring a safe environment for everyone.
This drill reminds us of the importance of prevention, preparation, and teamwork. At ASTICAN, safety is our top priority, and we will continue to invest in training and collaboration to always live up to our standards.
