This September, ICGEB renews its participation in the SHARPER project for European Researchers’ Night, offering the public a variety of opportunities for engagement.

Monday, 22 September – An hour with a researcher – Dr. Francesca Paron will hold a lesson for primary school children in Trieste on: “The animal cell: a fortress”.
Sharper – European Researchers Night
📌 17:00-18:00: Under the arches of the Trieste Municipality, Street Science with ICGEB researcher Denise Khouri Chaouhi who will present her work to the public in a short talk entitled: “Bacteria talk too”.
📌 18:00–22:00: ICGEB Stand, Piazza Unità d’Italia, Trieste. ICGEB researchers will introduce three EU Interregional science projects underway to the public (available also in English)
- CEDRIC (Interreg Italy–Austria): improving soil to enhance plant growth.
- PROMOS (Interreg Italy–Austria): reinforcing the biomedical ecosystem to accelerate the process of making scientific results available to the general public.
- COHERENCE (Interreg Italy–Slovenia): developing a cell therapy for the treatment of non-healing wounds.
