DINADUR® represents a portfolio of Polybutylene Terephthalate (PBT) engineering thermoplastics designed for applications that require mechanical strength, thermal resistance, dimensional stability, and long-term durability. As highlighted on page 2, PBT offers a melting point of around 223°C and operates reliably across a wide temperature range, from -50°C to 150°C, making it suitable for harsh industrial environments. Its intrinsic advantages include high stiffness, excellent electrical insulation, low moisture absorption, wide chemical resistance, and strong resistance to abrasion, wear, and weathering.

UBE Composites Europe further enhances these base properties through advanced compounding, developing tailor-made DINADUR® grades that meet specific performance requirements. As shown on page 3, modifiers include glass fibre, carbon fibre, mineral fillers, glass beads, and a range of additives for UV stabilization, heat resistance, impact modification, flame retardancy (halogenated or halogen-free), and custom coloration in RAL or Pantone standards. This versatility allows DINADUR® to be engineered for precise flow characteristics, improved impact behavior, or enhanced weather resistance depending on the application.

Blends such as PC/PBT and PBT/ASA combine the advantages of multiple polymers: improved impact strength, dimensional stability, chemical resistance, surface quality, and UV durability, making them suitable for exterior automotive components and other demanding uses.

The technical data on page 4 highlights grades with tensile modulus values up to 12,200 MPa, Charpy impact strengths above 50 kJ/m², HDT values up to 208°C, and CTI ratings of 600V for specific halogen-free flame-retardant formulations, reinforcing DINADUR® as a robust material choice for electrical connectors, EV charger housings, light switches, motor housings, household appliances, power strips, tools, and automotive components.
